A difficult challenge, completed my part to 90%.
Work started before the summer and continued to totally distance: Roma-Bologna, the second which I deliver in the capital. Sara, my client, has renewed a built-in kitchen dated and looking a bit heavy: yellow walls, colorful tiles for tops and walls, counters and shelves in dark wood. But thanks to her taste she’s been able to think of a revolutionary operation that the good work of her father led to an amazing result, worthy of a decorating magazine.
She thought all the walls without tiles, and used a light gray stoneware for the top and a 60cm wall strip. 120×60 tiles, that with so few leaks seem natural stone or concrete.
My intervention is served for the doors, a chest of drawers, two cabinets and a strip to finish the edge of the top. All in reclaimed wood, bleached and aged.
As always, the door handles are vintage and different, and I am particularly fond of the simple one in wrought iron that I literally hammered into the dresser door pans.
The wall units have white door but natural sides, that reflect the kitchen particulars left raw, as the axis on the hood and an axle over the bedroom’s door.
Installation of doors and hangings is finished only with the help of Sara’s father, without whom I do not know if I’d be able to do a job so quickly and accurately…the Roman day was warmed by a pleasant autumn sun, and I am back with a super appreciated gift: a load of lemons picked directly from the tree of the garden of Sara.
Still missing the top of the large table of the room, of which I have already delivered the feet, and then the work can be said finished. Work seems liked that, as always, is the most important thing.
