Another kitchen, mine

After some interesting projects of kitchens for different customers (almost all then made), the time has come to think of one for me.
And how could I think it, if not in natural, clear and rough wood?
In fact, the base has these characteristics, accentuated by the fact that I did not want too many tonal changes and I wanted it as linear as possible: therefore it is a series of doors, two by two, divided by columns of 4 inches that protrude slightly from the front line. No legs or openings at the bottom, no plinth: all smooth up to the ground (maybe slightly uncomfortable because you have to get used to it, especially if you come from empty spaces…kicking at the tip of the foot at the beginning are granted) and with wide axes juxtaposed without being cleaned at the edges, to leave the idea that they looked like unworked axes.
Even in the drawer area, to avoid seeing too many deadlifts, I thought of a single panel of vertical planks, then cut horizontally. In short, sobriety to the nth degree.
All wanted to contrast with the real strength of the kitchen, both in terms of material and context: a top of almost three and a half meters in stainless steel. Smooth, clean, 100% industrial flavor with only two symmetrical baths created on site and a professional kitchen style faucet to interrupt its linearity.
I have thus united two worlds, the rustic and rough one with the taste of country and hearth, with the more austere and “cold” one of the steel of professional kitchens. A fusion that I found very well done: the result is a sober but characterful kitchen that I think will not tire me easily, with delicate colors but with particular details.
I made the handles by simply cutting leather scraps and mounting them to the thickness of doors and drawers, because no handle or knob convinced me too much, and not being a fan of the wall units, I think I will leave the wall above completely empty, with only a tube of LED lights. At the moment, that little concrete Madonna seemed made for that huge white wall.
When also two small furniture on the sides of the oven will be finished I’ll post the whole set. For now, here are the photos of the linear part.
