A choice dictated by simplicity and a touch a bit industrial and a bit recovery the one of Astrid and Alberico, who had to think about 9 light of their second home. An extraordinary recovery of a farmhouse in the countryside halfway between Piedmont and Lombardy, in an old farm courtyard with grain silos, the tall trees all around and the layout of the farms on four sides.
Their house is born in a part of the old structure which was incorporated the porch: closed with windows to create a lounge and a large and bright kitchen.
My task: to prepare the lights for the entrance, corridors and staircase.
After evaluating different colors to the wire, they have chosen turquoise, in conjunction with the clear blue walls. The lights were then rolled up to the rusted scaffolding hooks mounted on the walls.
A set of very elegant and delicate colors and forms, that does not clash with the soul of the house and of its recovery, but that is bound to it to create a sober setting, with delicate colors and ancient and simple materials.
