Shopping in Guildford

During my two days trip in Guildford I spent a morning alone, and, thinking about what to do, I decided to visit the little town, that immediately inspired me shopping.
It’s amazing the amount of stores I found, shopping centers included (I also found Primark…any woman spent even few days in London, knows it…), and market stalls: there is a little and delicious flower market, and a food market along the main road (I don’t know if it takes places everyday, I was there on Friday morning). Another must: Farrow&Ball, one of my favourite shops for home colors and wallpapers.
There’s also an ancient castle with beautiful gardens, and a little garden dedicated to Alice in wonderland with a nice sculpture and where I found a nice squirrel.

Among all shops, I loved one in particular: Blott.
Going in, I was plunged back in time, when I spent a lot of time in stationery, looking (mostly) the myriads of colored shaped rubbers. Well, Blott has stationery articles, and a corner full of colored little rubbers. I think they’re made in Japan and they’re so lovely: there are animals, transports, fruits, vegetables, but those I prefer are sweets and ice-creams…after approximately an hour, I have chosen some, but it’s been really hard!

Here the ones I have chosen:
