Scraped cabinets

Part of a series of pieces to decorate a hall / lounge, these two small cabinets will be used as containers under a shelf that will make the use of a desk, but if necessary, they will be moved to become bedsides of a sofa bed.
The need was to use a neutral color which had to lighten the wood already present in the floor, a beautiful oak found as waste factory, but that must have at the same time the gloss of an object painted and repainted several times, and which layers of paint were cut off here and there because of the time.
I hope I have succeeded in choosing for each a different background color. The structure has the simplicity I always love, and to create a little movement in the otherwise too much linear white, I applied aged zinc sheets.
I also found that zinc for the feet of the board that will be the desk … but it is not yet mounted ….
