Hello, I’m Sandra Caleffi and I’m a freelance Italian illustrator.
I live and work among the hills near Bologna, in Italy, and try to put this sense of freedom and respect for nature and animals in my work.
Professionally I was born in 2000, when, attending the International School of Illustration and Comics in Florence, I was selected at Bologna Children’s Book Fair in the non-fiction section.
I immediatly started a book for DeAgostini Editor.
Since then I worked for several international Editors, mostly for school books, and in the last four years I worked for Zanotti spa, realizing their calendar.
In 2020 my first narrative book titled “Il Girasolo” has been published by Pane&Sale Edizioni.
For my work, I take inspiration from everything that surrounds me: photos, moments, colors, objects, animals.
In my blog, articles about my everyday life, some works of furniture design and recycle, travel and, obviously, my illustrations.
