Unlike my collection (of vintage things, rusty and full of dust), my mother took me a crop of real ones, that see me torn between the impulse to eat it all in one meal and the desire to keep it intact for days, just to savor the colors of those baskets that I move from table to table. Harvest starring blue plums, tomatoes, cucumbers, onion and eggplant.
They are so beautiful that I’m eating them with my eyes, and they are at home or away, on the stove or on the worktop, they are a perfect piece of furniture …
Not to mention the pumpkin, that fell before the time of collection. But deep down I’m happy, because with its greenish and round shapes I know it will be with me all winter.
So to avoid keep fruits and vegetables for days until they rot, I thought to photograph them once and for all to stop their memory at least.
Now I’m ready to eat the whole harvest. Ready to enjoy a meal with a Mediterranean flavor and entirely natural.
